2014 Audi Q3 Review 2014 Audi Q3 SUV USA Review

The 2014 Audi Q3 should be a late but formidable arrival to the growing compact luxury crossover segment in the U.S. Unfortunately, with Audi yet to bring its Q3 compact crossover to U.S. soil, as promised, this little ball of potency will have to remain forbidden fruit for now.

Release Date and Price
Set to debut on March 5 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the new Audi RS Q3 follows a familiar line of RS tuning: a powerful engine is combined with a lightning-fast transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. In Germany the new RS Q3 will go on sale in fall 2013 at a price of €54,600 – about $75,500 at the current exchange rates.

Powertrain
Under the hood of the new Audi RS Q3, you will find a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine that delivers a total of 310 horsepower and a peak torque of 309 pound-feet of torque. The same engine has been used in the TT RS and RS 3 Sportback, and has been combined with an exhaust system and an accelerator that allows choosing between three modes: auto, comfort and dynamic.

The engine is combined with a standard seven-speed S tronic transmission and sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. Also, for the first time the five-cylinder engine is working together with a standard start-stop-system.

Exterior
The 2014 Audi Q3 RS is adorned with very strong and aggressive look with new bumpers, revised side skirts, matt aluminum trim. But a lot of effort and work of Audi company is reflected in the RS front grille, roof spoiler, as well as elliptical exhaust pipes. This model was the sporty look thanks to the reduced height by 25 millimeters, 19 or 20 – Colne Aluminium wheels and high-performance brakes.

Interior
Inside the cabin, the 2014 Audi Q3 will offer 48 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, while throughout the car will be a bevy of safety systems, including park assist, side assist, active lane assist and adaptive xenon headlamps.

Conclusion
The new Audi RS Q3 is the first RS model for the successful Q lineup and combines outstanding everyday practicality with dynamic driving performance. If it will be as successful as all the other RS models we will find out in the upcoming months.
