The 2015 Audi TT marks the third generation of the premium-sporty/performance car that bowed in the U.S. for model-year 2000 and was redesigned for ’08. Britain’s Autocar and CAR magazines report the new models will start European sale in calendar 2014, probably later in the year, so they will likely reach America as 2015 entrants. Pricing won’t be available for some time yet. Body styles again comprise a 2+2 hatchback coupe and a 2-seat cloth-top convertible, a.k.a. Roadster. Base 4-cylinder 2.0T models launch first, followed a year later by sportier TTS and top-line 5-cylinder TT RS versions. Audi’s signature quattro all-wheel drive remains standard for the U.S. market.
2015 Audi TT Release Date and Price
The 2012 TT lineup spans a base-price range of $38,300-$56,850. We have a hunch that the 2015s will run $750-$1,000 higher model-for-model, assuming no significant change in manufacturing costs, standard equipment, or the dollar-to-Euro exchange rate.
Meanwhile some rumors told that 2015 Audi TT release date will be in late this year. There is no purpose why you should be eventually missed when it comes to the high-class and relaxation that comes with Audi vehicles. This car is made in a way that they will provide you even more than you predicted. What do you think of this 2015 Audi TT? Do you think you will be falling in love to this car? Or, you even think that you will have one? We promise that we will update soon after Audi announces 2015 Audi TT price.
Powertrain 2015 Audi TT
As with its styling and underskin engineering, the 2015 Audi TT sees no revolutionary powertrain changes, though there will be improvements. For starters, the base 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, VW Group’s EA888 unit with direct fuel injection, is expected to add about 10 horsepower to reach 220 or so in U.S. trim. Autocar says a fuel-saving cylinder-cutoff feature will be added to provide 2-cylinder operation in light-throttle driving, such as steady-speed highway cruising. The 2.0T may also get an automatic start-stop function as another efficiency-enhancer, though it’s unclear whether this or the cylinder cutoff will be available for U.S. consumption. A tuned 2.0T will again power the TTS, where CAR expects horsepower to rise by 15 or so to the vicinity of 280.
The 2.5-liter turbo 5-cylinder TT RS gets a bigger power boost, according to CAR, going from 340 to around 380. As mentioned, all U.S.-spec TTs will continue with standard quattro all-wheel drive. All engines should again team with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. Audi’s 6-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automated manual will be available, though a newer 7-speed gearbox might be substituted. Like others of its type, S-tronic can be set to operate like a conventional automatic and comes with steering-wheel shift paddles.
2015 Audi TT Interior and Exterior
As befits a design halo car like this, the next TT retains the character and the unmistakable proportions of the current vintage. The design is evolutionary in a way Porsche purists might object to: after all, the revised silhouette almost mimics the 911, which makes the coupe in particular look butch and masculine and emphatically sporty. The only trace of three-boxiness runs along the trailing edge of the rear window where a large boomerang-shaped tail spoiler extends at motorway speeds. The front end features yet another variation of the trademark single-frame grille, this time boasting a set back main air intake; even more elaborate LED headlights, foglamps, corning lamps, day-time running lights, and indicators; some contrasting brightwork; and a pair of fake lower black vents to spice up the bumper graphics. The taillights are equally ornate with L-shaped indicators, dot-matrix brake lamps, and trendy jewel-like clusters.
Yes, that is just so true! The new model of the 2015 Audi TT seems to be much more sleek and more elegant looking than the previous model. While the body will be much more lightweight than the previous versions, the upcoming 2015 Audi TT look more solid and firm than the previous versions at the same time. On the other hand, the lightweight thing will be possible – thanks to the use of aluminum. In this respect at least, we think Audi has done a marvelous job here. Hope this plan stays open until the release of the actual car comes.
